Engagement, Atunement, Amalgamation, & Tranquility

Seeking understanding

We are based on the four core values of engagement, atunement, amalgamation, and tranquility. In the journey of getting to know oneself, it must start with an agreement.

As we get to know ourselves, we begin to feel more connected. We begin to notice that we feel a true sense of belonging because we have set in motion to speak our truth; this knowing of oneself is a deep sense of connection.

It takes a desire and curiosity to get begin this journey in knowing yourself true self. This escapade will consist of many emotions, uncomfortable moments of awareness, and tears. But it is through the desire for something different, that we choose to embark on such an adventure.

And though the salt water and seasons of change, do we finally know peace. It is the action of relinquishing, that our awareness subtly shifts into clarity and understanding.

NAOMI DUFFY, LCSW, LMSW

Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDR Consultant in training

It has been my experience that there is a human desire to be seen and heard. My priority is to create a warm and safe space for you to freely share your thoughts and feelings. My hope is, with time, we can come together to better understand the source of the emotions you’re experiencing. My intention is to walk with you on your journey as you come to understand yourself more fully. I strongly believe in open curiosity paired with synergy which is a bedrock to a trust-based relationship. I aspire to aid you in building on your own strengths and learn additional skills that empower you to better manage life’s challenges. I specialize in complex trauma and trauma focused substance misuse. Specifically, I treat feelings of “never being enough”, “being too much”, and “I can’t be myself”.

I use a psychodynamic and trauma focused approach within the context of attachment theory and Irvin Yalom’s existential perspective. I am certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness and use these modalities in collaboration with my clients as warranted. My background is in working with complex trauma and substance misuse. I work with adult individuals, couples, and groups.

I obtained my Master’s degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, 117210 in the State of California and practice only in California. I also hold a Licensed Master Social Worker, 109755 in the State of New York.
